Sometimes you come into contact with those who, to themselves, must feel as if they are superb Christians. They are of course, correct in their doctrine, supporting the work of God, and they are “not like that OTHER message group” . ~insert your own variation for other ~

What a fabulous Christian, all the ducks are in a row right?

Wrong.

I spoke briefly with such a brother after church yesterday. With such a high and mighty attitude he spoke of other brothers. I wanted to tell the brother something like “You know, you’d be an alright guy to be around if you had any humility at all.”

Forgive me friends, but I tire of the attitude of so many that seem to think as long as they believe a particular doctrine a certain way that they have met the requirement.

Let me be frank here, there is only 1 requirement we can meet, and that is to believe and accept that JESUS met the requirements for US. And so, if our precious Lord met the requirements for us, for “while we were yet sinners, Christ loved us” how can we then be better off than a brother we may disagree with? How can we have attitude towards those that are in the “OTHER” group.

MATTHEW 5:46-47
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

I groan within myself almost every day of seeing so many “message believers” that don’t know the basics of the love of Christ, but somehow think they’ve figured out the seven seals, or thunders, or X. ~insert your own variation for X~ They say they have the Holy Spirit, and that the Holy Spirit has shown them these great revelations. Yet because of their attitude towards others and lack of humility they are so undesireable to be around that one can hardly believe they have any of the spirit of Christ at all!

I JOHN 4:20-21
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Don’t get me wrong friends, I can accept the fact that you might not like what someone is doing. I can accept the fact that you don’t agree with how they see things. Isn’t this Word given to us by revelation? Can you fault the brother for not having “grown” as much in the Word yet as you have? Have you never been wrong? Have you never changed on how you see anything from the time you were presented with this message until now?

Perhaps we should step off our high message horses for awhile, and do something so few do today. Pray for one another. Tarry for one another. I’m not speaking of a 5 minute prayer here. Have you felt so strongly for an individual that you’ve interceded for them lately? Has it burdened you so, that you have spent hours or even days travailing of soul for your brother. If you have not, if you have seen that they are in the wrong, and proceeded to only bash them, have attitude against them, or other self-righteous ungodly things we seem to do thinking we are Christians, then perhaps YOU are at fault. Perhaps God was showing you their error, to invoke such a response within you so as to inspire you to pray for that person, so that God could then affect the change in their life?

Does God do everything by providence?? Perhaps, as Bro Branham says “He has no hands but our hands”, God is willing to use us for his work, but our pride and self-righteousness continually gets in the way.

JAMES 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

God has no hands but ours, yet if we are not humble God resists us. How then could He use us?

Are the hands He must use humble hands?
