Supernatural Minded

The Easter weekend in Jeffersonville was a very good one. VGR had a presentation that included believers from other lands singing in their native tongues. The worship was awesome! I really enjoyed myself.

As I listened however, and wished that I could understand what they were saying, I began to think about the disciples on the day of pentecost.

Acts 2:4-6
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

I began to think, what if I began to hear what these believers were singing in my own language. What would I do? How would I feel? Why doesn’t this happen? Why don’t I expect this to happen?

I think we’ve stopped expecting God to do supernatural things amongst us. I know I certainly wasn’t expecting that I might understand what they were singing in my language.

Bro Branham said this in the message Expectancy

EXPECTANCY_ BATTLE.CREEK.MI SUNDAY_ 52-0817A E-38 Well, isn’t it strange? Look at Simeon. The Holy Ghost promised him, “You’re not going to see death till you see the Christ.””Why,” they said, “David looked for Him, and this one looked for Him, and that one looked for Him.””No matter what they looked for Him, the Holy Ghost has told me so.” He was expecting to see Him. He didn’t care what people said; he was expecting. When Jesus was born in Judaea, in Bethlehem, there was a few star gazers seen cross observatory of star mystics. None of the–the men at the observatory, or the planetarium, they didn’t see it. They knowed nothing about it. But my Bible said they followed a star. I believe it. They seen it. It was for them.Divine healing today, is not for the unbeliever; it’s for those who believe. The baptism of the Holy Spirit today’s not for unbelievers; it’s for those who believe. Jesus died for believers, not for unbelievers; it’s for those who believe. The supernatural follows who’s supernatural minded. That’s right. When the hungering and thirsting, when you got an expectancy, when you read God’s Word and expect to see God perform what He said He would do, God will do it.

I want to be more supernatural minded. I want to expect to SEE God perform what HE said He would do.

JOHN 14:12
¶ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Are you expecting this? Are you supernatural minded?

Think on it!

  1. Praise God Buddy!

I hated to miss all of the fine things that went on here in Jeffersonville over the Easter Weekend, but God was with us in Delaware too! We were ordained before the foundation of the world to be in the Easter Service that we attended! The sermon title was “The Quickening Power” and it was good stuff! And there has been a situation on my wife’s heart lately, which was ministered to directly throughout the service. Maybe she’ll get to share the testimony with you all soon!

God is good.. all the time… God is good!

    I enjoyed the blog!

May the MIND of Christ be in US! May we be about the Father’s business! May our thoughts be on things Above and on the Promises. May we Expect to see them Fulfilled! May we Become that Invincible Army! May our Focus continually be turned Toward Christ and His Kingdom! May we Expect and Receive ALL that God has in store for us!

    God bless you and yours!

  2. Sis Sharon!

Thanks for that testimony! Really good to hear!

I did want to say, that I wasn’t doubting God still moves like that today obviously…just that I wasn’t expecting it in me…and should be.

    Thanks again!

  3. HALLELUJAH!! The Bride is being stirred! This past weekend I was with believers who talked about their personal stirrings. How exciting since it was so much like I felt and thought I was alone!! I have had such a hunger to experience the reality of a spirutual walk. I want more than just an intellectual understanding of his Word.
Recently I was praying with a co- worker since her brother had been given hours to live.
I then went out to walk (& pray). As I was praying for her family, it was dusk and as I rounded the track, I looked up to see 3 deer run into the woods right in front of me; then I saw 2 more a few feet away watching me, before they disappeared. I went back to work to report the Lord had let me see(5)FIVE deer: GRACE FAITH
JESUS!. (I have only seen deer at a distance in this area once before, which was about 8 yrs ago) Since that time about 2 weeks ago her brother has been sent home! She has had time to talk to him about his spirutual condition and God is dealing in her fathers’ life.
It may seem like a small thing to others but it is something to raise my faith to pray for others and keep expecting supernatural things. God loves us so much and wants to see us
grow in Him more than we desire it.
